Skadia is a 1d flow-line model that is capable of modelling glaciated systems, even with complex tributary systems. The model physics is well described in the literature (Refs.). The unique element of this model is that it uses an automated method of optimising model parameters. This methodology allows for the generic model to deal with a range of different glaciers, both in terms of the climatic and topographic setting.
