We discussed Monsoon issues: obtaining accounts and getting UM vn4.5 installed. Should be possible to get accounts, Rupert to sort this out with Rod. Hold off on decision re UM versions (we would need a very strong reason to get them to install vn4.5 on Monsoon as there is some resistance to the idea).

Vicky explained some aspects of how equations are linearised and discretised and how this leads to construction of the matrix to be inverted.
